friendships and fellowship. It's also about rebuilding our landmark and
campus in a way to lasts beyond our years.

HOW WE DO IT!
Beyond the Legacy Convention/West Dumas @ 40 Homecoming in
September of last year and especially with the homegoing on last week of our
Elder Brother, Pastor Jasper Jackson, Jr., it
is most evident that certain things must be given our urgent priority for at the end of the day it always comes back home and how home always stands up to help one another- Here's a short progress report and a look at where we are and how everyone can help out:
1.
We need to come together for family, friendship
and fellowship
2.
We need to stay together- forever. This means good times and bad times. WE ARE FAMILY!
3. We
need to further expand and move forth with our Keepers of the Faith.Today Fellowship.
Ø
This is first and foremost for all of us who came out of the
ministries of our late Pastor and Spiritual Leader. We need to preserve our legacies and continue
the expansion of the Memorial Church in fellowship and our historic
landmark. We need the Memorial Church to
be strong and stable for generations to come in both fellowship and our
building. When one of needs to be
brought home or remembered, this work needs to be ready.
Last
year we invested over $100,000 to bring forth the convention along with several
things that really helped us to expand and prepare for the next 40 years- here
are a few of them:
1. New Heating and Air Units- a total of 5
2. New technology for streaming and broadcasting live from HMC
3. Visual arts and design team to expand our image in social media and
communications
4. Brought in national and international leaders to speak and join us in
our efforts to expand the vision and destiny of our lives and those in our
region.
5. Helped many families transition to better conditions and invested in
helping to transition a family in need of training and ministry guidance.
The Urgent Challenge:
We were over $20,000 short of the funds that were pledged during the
homecoming. This put a tremendous
challenge on our operations but we did not stop and we will not stop. (My personal challenges were greatly increased
on multiple fronts.)
We were counting on
these pledges to help us meet our obligations to preserve our good works and
our good name. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO MEET
THEM.
We need
$10,000 in contributions right away.
Between MLK Holiday Weekend and the Birthday of our late
Pastor, Dr. Hunt, Sr., we need EVERYONE
to send in your contributions to the P.O. Box 307 in Dumas (71639) or online here make a donation of any amount
to help us keep the Memorial Church online and strong. Many of you can give $10, $20, $50 or $100
today. Some of you can take it upwards,
$200, $300, $500 and $1000 and upwards.
Let me assure you that all contributions are important.
